We began the day, after breakfast at our hotel in VillaFranca.
Our first stop was a visit to a small historic church on top of mountain O Cebrero where in the 1200s a miracle occurred during Mass when the host bleed. Also this a site known to be where St. Frances prayed.
Fr Charlie says a prayer and places a rock which is traditional on the Camino.
Father Charlie got his exercise this morning by walking the ‘width’ of the camino!
Our next stop was The monasterio Samo which is 1000 years old.
From there we went to a church from the year 800. There was an interesting mural on the wall. One of them is the king which one?
From there we went very small church were there is an interesting curcifix.
A ‘Pondering thought’ 🤔. Jesus extends his hand to each of us! Do you extend yours?
From there we drove to Finisterra, The end of the Earth where we will begin our walk tomorrow.
Very nice pictures and looks like everyone is having a great time. Plus I know a little about the the subject matter in the pictures. So I see you got my message. Well Done! Oh, by the way, keep the pictures and commentary coming, a beautiful setting with such storied and rich history.
