We began today’s journey at 9 am and took 7 hours to reach our destination, the Palace de Rey, a converted priests rectory originallt built inn the 1700’s. After checking in our hotel we went to a church that was built in the 7th century where Fr. Manuel and Fr. Moises, with Deacon’s Brian and Butch celebrated Mass. We ended the day with a good meal at the hotel, Rectoral de Lestedo.

During the day, the weather was cool and at time there was a drizzle of rain.  At one point, Butch became separated from the group be a large heard of bulls being transferred from one area of the farm to another.  It was pretty scary being around such large farm animals.

As you can see from the above photos, sometimes priests and deacons don’t agree.

Butch, in the white shirt in the distance, hides from the bulls.  It wasn’t the running of the bulls, but Butch running away!
