Last-minute details are being made. My brace is now ready for the walk!
We depart Friday for Madrid ……arrive Saturday and travel to Villafranca… our walk begins this Sunday.
Tuesday 28th
Today we drove from Villafranca to Madrid, a 4hrs drive. We will stay at the Ritz next to Prado Museo. We enjoyed an early dinner with Carlos and Ana. We depart tomorrow at 9:30am.
Monday, October 27:
Today Manolo drove us to Finisterre, or the end of the earth. We had lunch there and drove to Villafranca de Bierzo.
Sunday October 26:
Today was another short walk arriving in Santiago around two. Our first stop was to the church office to obtain our Compostela. Later in the day we went shopping. Visited the tome of St. James and attended mass. We had dinner with Nacho Prim,and his wife, who 10 years + ago spent four months in Chattanooga/Knoxville studying prosthetics and orthotics.
Sat Oct 25th:
Today was a short walk of 18km to Teo. We pasted by an cistern which was converted into an out door water spa. We had our credenciales stamped at a church along the way. Lunch was a (foot long +) bread and cheese sandwich.
